Too Many Mentors equals Mind Mush
I must confess… I have a hearing disability. I call it dyslexia of the ears. Basically, my weird brain has trouble differentiating sounds and segregating words. If I’m in a room and there are several people talking at once, I’ll hear something like:
Sally..the coffee grinder…Jason dooche…Kindle…Ifart and I heard…yada yada yada.
All the conversations blend together and I can’t separate them into different threads. Over the years, I’ve learned to concentrate and focus my attention on one voice at a time, which helps to some degree, but most of the time I just say “Huh?” Or “What?” a lot and try to avoid background noise.
So what does my hearing disability have to do with YOU.
Plenty!
The same thing happens to you when you listen to too many Mentor voices.. You end up with a garbled mess spinning around in your head all day and get absolutely nothing done.
You need to pick out one voice and give it all your focused attention. Shut off all the other voices. If it means having all your Guru email skipping the inbox and going right to a file or trash bin… Do it!
Stop worrying about what you might miss, instead learn to protect yourself from Information Overload.
Pick ONE Mentor at a time, watch everything they do, study it, copy it, apply it, perfect it were possible and then once you have picked their brains clean, give them the credit they are due and then move on to the next Guru/Expert.

This is SO true Karen. I was all over the place when I first ventured into Internet Marketing and it was really confusing. I have gotten much better at tuning out all the offers, etc. and just focusing on one method at a time. From start to profit, rinse & repeat.
Having said that, I do follow just one expert & their team, but do belong to a few master mind groups (that also follow those people) but feel as if those groups support and enhance my learning experience.
